2. Information we collect

We collect information from three sources:

  • The Rhode Island public voter file. Per state public records law, we have access to registered voters' names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses (when on file), party registration, and voting history. We use this only for District 5 outreach.
  • Forms on our website. When you fill out a signup, volunteer, or concerns form on cameronmoquin.com, you provide us your name, email, phone, ZIP code, and any message you submit.
  • Direct replies to our communications. If you reply to a campaign email or SMS, we receive your reply text and the contact info attached to your message.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Send you campaign communications (email, SMS, postal mail, door visits) about the candidacy, events, and how to participate.
  • Coordinate volunteer activity, including signature collection in July 2026.
  • Solicit donations in compliance with Rhode Island campaign finance law.
  • Comply with reporting obligations to the Rhode Island Board of Elections and other government bodies.
  • Improve the effectiveness of our outreach (which messages get opened, which links get clicked).

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your information to anyone. We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the campaign (email delivery via Resend, SMS delivery via Twilio, data hosting via Supabase, web hosting via Netlify). These vendors are bound by data processing agreements.
  • Government agencies as required by law, including donor records filed with the Rhode Island Board of Elections.
  • Volunteers and staff of the campaign, only for purposes related to outreach and on a need-to-know basis.

Mobile information and SMS consent are never shared for marketing. No mobile information — including your phone number, SMS opt-in, or consent — will be shared with, sold, or rented to any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) solely to send the messages you requested, or where required by law.
